Memorable Events :-
1.     Opposition to Muslims was increasing in Indian Film Industry, and only the most influential Muslim makers were able to continue work in the Bombay Film Industry. Therefore, Zahoor Raja (Anmol Ghadi fame) also packed his belongings and came to Lahore in 1950. Quietly, he started to work on the subject of a film, Jihaad, which was about the Pakistan Movement. Zahoor was the leading artiste with Roofi, Zarina Reshma, and Ajmal in the film, which bombed at Box-office due to a small budget and lack of technical facilities in the studios.
2.     First Lady of Pakistan Silver Screen - Sabiha Khanum was introduced in Beli in the cameo role of dancer. The film was based on Saadat Hasan Manto's story about the perils of the 1947 exodus. Beli also introduced Blue-eyed Shahina (daughter of actor-cum-music director Rafiq Ghaznavi) and Santosh Kumar in the leading roles. However, the film flopped at Box-Office because the memories of partition were still too fresh for the general public.
3.     Famous Ghazal Singer - Malika Pukhraj's sang her first (maybe her only film as playback singer) Urdu song "Kia sunain majboor zindagi ka afsana" for film Shimmi under the composition of Master Inayat Hussain.

4.     Younger brother of Santosh Kumar - Darpan was introduced in Amanat opposite Gulshan Ara.

5.     Do Ansoo - based on Hakim Shuja's story about the decadence of aristocracy became first Silver Jubilee Urdu film of Pakistan.

6.     All songs of film Beqarar sung by Munawwar Sultana and Ali Bakhsh Zahur, composed by Master Ghulam Haider after his arrival from Bombay, won wide popularity.
