Memorable Events :-
1.     Sachchai was produced by Swaranlata (Saeeda Bano) making her first female film producer of Pakistan. The film, lacking in quality, got poor response at the box office.
2.     Shahida became Nasir Khan's second and last  film in Pakistan. Shamim played the lead in Shahida, best remembered for her role in Kishore Sahu's family drama Sindoor (1947). Film also marked the debut of famous villain Himaliyawala in Pakistan. Himaliyawala acted so inspiringly in this film that his name became known to all and sundry in the country. Shahida was directed by another top artist from India, Luqman, and its music was by Ghulam Haider and G. A. Chishti. Film critics wrote heart-felt reviews of Himaliyawala's performance in Shahida, and likened his acting to Mehboob Khan’s hit film in India, Eilan (1947), where he had done similar work.
3.     Pheray, the first punjabi film of Pakistan, made with a meagre 65,000 rupees was completed within a record time of six weeks. It was based on Nazir and Noor Jehan's hindi film Village Girl (1945). Pheray proved to be a big money-maker even in competition with the films produced in Bombay. It found its place in the archives of our national film industry as the first Pakistani movie to have celebrated its silver jubilee. The success of the film was mainly attributed to its Punjabi songs, written and composed by G.A. Chisthi (his debut film in Pakistan), an austere musician and lyricist of the folk music genre. It is said that for Pheray, he wrote, composed and recorded seven songs in just one day, all of which became very popular.
4.    The first Pakistani film song which became a super-hit in Pakistan was Mein Pyar Ka Diya Jalata Hoon, sung  by Ali Bakhsh Zahoor. Master Inayat Hussain provided melodic raiments to  that song for the film Hichkoley, which was written by Saifuddin Saif.

5.     Another famous villain/character actor Ilyas Kashmiri appeared for the first time in Mundri to lead the cast opposite Ragni.
